Dr. Lance Ashworth received his medical degree from Midwestern University, and his undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He did his internship and post-graduate training in Family Practice at Florida Hospital Memorial Division.

He has been a featured speaker at the regional conference on obesity held by the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. This is the premier society involved in advancing and supporting the physicians role in treating overweight/obese patients. Dr. Ashworth also trains physicians in the treatment of the obese patient. He does this through a program he developed called the "Bariatric Preferred Physicians Program (BP3)". He also has written a manual of weight loss referred to as "The Manual of Advanced Medical Weight Loss Protocols". Dr. Ashworth holds the first "patent pending" compound presently being used in the dissolving of stubborn fat deposits using a subcutaneous injection. The compound is called HSL-LipoRelease and is being used by hundreds of physicians (this number is quickly increasing) around the U.S. since it's release in February of 2008: www.hslsculpt.com.

Dr. Ashworth is a firm believer in exercise, holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and feels as though each patient must find some sort of activity they can perform regularly. Dr. Ashworth has a variety of exercise programs to offer his patients. In the area of Martial Arts specifically he personally reccommends Todd Cutler for personal instruction in Martial Arts, which is both cardiovascular and muscular. He can be contacted for private lessons by contacting Ashworth Medical. We will personally get you in contact with him. Todd Cutler is certified to grant Jiu-Jitsu belt advancements under Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert Gustavo Machado, of the famous Machado brothers out of Dallas, Tx. This status was offered after he visited Gustavo's academy in Virginia personally, and was evaluated. This evaluation resulted in a full accreditation under the "Machado" name. Todd is certified to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling, and Judo (of which he holds a Black Belt). There are many opportunities to compete in martial arts competitions across the U.S. if desired. This Fighter/Trainer is new to Holly Hill.

Dr. Ashworth places so much emphasis on exercise not only because this will make weight loss more rapid, but because it will ensure the weight lost is maintained. Dr. Ashworth will work with each patient to make sure there is some activity each patient can perform regardless of their mobility issues. Dr. Ashworth has 20 years of experience in health and fitness. He uses this experience along with his medical training to offer the most unique and comprehensive, advanced medical weight loss program available.

All programs offered at Ashworth Medical are based on his patients' medical conditions, their personal preferences, home and work environment, and stress levels. When patients gain weight the reasons are multi-faceted, and Dr. Ashworth believes the weight loss program should be multi-faceted also.
